(1) On the basis of the application received in accordance with section 7, the local authority shall carry out the necessary investigation.
(2) According to sub-section (1), if any additional documents or details are required during the necessary investigation, the local authority may request such documents or details from the applicant and conduct further investigation.
(3) If the applicant is eligible to receive an identity card from the investigation conducted by the local authority according to sub-section (1), after obtaining the personal and biological details required under this Act, he will recommend to the department to provide the identity card.
